Rolex Released the Sea-Dweller 126600 at Basel Watch fair 2017, and since launch, it has been a popular and hard-to-get timepiece. The most striking about the watch the design is perhaps its bold red Sea-Dweller writing, which pays homage to the original Sea-Dweller which was first launched in 1967, making the release of the 126600 in 2017 the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller model. What makes this watch even more interesting is that rare examples of the first Sea-Dwellers can be found with single red writing, as opposed to double-red writing. Just like the re-edition.
The Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600 features a 43mm case and a ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel, and in terms of how it wears, it essentially wears like a ceramic Submariner on steroids. This is truly a historically important timepiece thanks to its connection to the Sea-Dweller history, and marking the 50th anniversary.
